Troll in the Park Update

The Troll-in-the-Park is being relocated to the Strathcona Wilderness Centre.

Start Times:   1.5 km -               12:00    Gnomes (Pee-wees, Atoms) - 2002 & later                     

                     2.5 km -               12:15    Hobbits (Mini-midgets, Midgets) - 1998 - 2001

                     5 km (2x2.5) -      12:30    Elves (Juveniles, Junior B/G) - 1994 - 1997

                     10 km (4x2.5) -    12:45    Trolls (Open) 1993 and earlier

Mass start by categories.

All events will be free technique (classic track will be set conditions permitting). 

Exact distances may vary.

To speed up registration please print and complete the waiver and registration before you arrive (can be found on the CCA website). Event registration is in the day lodge, 10:30 - 11:30 am.

Please purchase a day or season pass from the rentals office.

Ski Trail Condition Report February 16, 2011

Capilano Park - Poor Condition for both Classic and Skate technique. *An emergency repair of the sewer line at 56 St and Capilano Crescent has ended the grooming of the ski trail to Gretzky freeway for this year. The only skiable trail in Capilano will be the Peanut Loop between 50 St. and 56 St..   

Goldbar/Goldstick Parks - Renovated skate lanes Feb.15 rate them Poor/Fair Condition. Classic Tracks are in poor shape. Goldstick trails have not been worked, they are in Poor condition.

Rundle Park - Poor Condition, We will not be back in to Rundle this year to groom. Cannot get equipment over the foot bridge without damaging bridge decking.

Strathcona Science Park - Poor Condition.

Troll in the Park Update

There will be a change to the distance for the elf category (juvenile and Junior boys and girls).  Instead of 5 km it is now 7.5km (2 x 3.75).  More fun!
